Two weeks on the Kenai Peninsula
My group journey to Alaska in 2009 had been stunning, so in 2010 I decided to return. This time I wanted to travel alone, and as I did not have a driver’s licence back then, I had to choose the part of the country with best public transport: the Kenai Peninsula. On this peninsula public transport is minimal, but at least it exists: it’s possible to travel by train to Seward, and there’s a bus service between Anchorage, Homer and Seward.
July 18-20: Anchorage
July 20-23: Homer
July 21: Katmai
July 23-28: Seward
July 24: Harding Icefield Trail
July 28-30: Anchorage
