This last walking day was a short one. We left Albuñuelas on the southeast side and followed a footpath down to heavily irrigated, very fertile terrain. This was very different from what we had seen on the previous days: dry land, only suitable for olive trees. Now we saw orange trees, lemon trees and in general the colour of this morning was green.
In Andalucia, Moorish influences are numerous. Not only in the name of the villages we passed (today, for example, we walked through the village of Restabal), but also in the houses:
As we walked on, we left the green land behind us and were back on familiar terrain:
Early in the afternoon we arrived in Niguelas. Here we had lunch in a nice bar and then took the bus to Granada. The walking part of our holiday had ended.
