After leaving the Pyrenees, I had expected a somewhat boring landscape, but this was certainly not the case. You cross tiny villages, the roads are hilly and you can still see the Pyrenees in the background.

It’s nice to walk in such quiet areas, knowing that you will be in bustling Pamplona soon.

The descent to Zubiri is considered dangerous and I found this out. I was walking without sticks and was afraid to go down on the steep and slippery road (it was raining). A Spanish pilgrim kindly lent me one of this sticks and taught me how to place my feet (sidewards). I reached Zubiri in one piece and decided that I would buy walking sticks in Pamplona, the next day.
